Urban Dance

Urban dance is not just a dance style but a culture that combines different music genres and over 30 dance styles. You'll learn classic old-school hip hop moves, but also newer styles like house, new style, voguing, whacking, tutting and much more.

In Urban Female we focus on the styles of hip hop culture that have a slightly more feminine expression. Together we work on your posture, your hip swing and your body awareness. At the same time, we are in a safe space where you can freely try out your own style.

Urban Contemporary

No style fits the motto "Dancing is Healing" better. - Contemporary dance is not just movement to music, but the telling of a story. The choreographies give a lot of room for interpretation and help to consciously express and process feelings.

Contents:
Freestyle exercises, partner work, simple choreography, music theory, stretching exercises, meditation, development of organic movements, dance steps of various urban dance styles

Kick'n'Dance Fit

This class is only available at LJAY Dance. The group fitness workout combines kickboxarobics with simple dance steps from urban dance. In addition to improving endurance, the main goal is to build muscles and increase body flexibility. The perfect complement to regular dance training.

TAE BO®/Toso X®

TAE BO or Toso X is a strength and cardio workout from the USA. It combines movements from Asian martial arts with aerobics and was originally developed by the martial artist Billy Blanks. The music is fast, the movements intense, the mind can switch off and the calories tumble without end.

Stretch & Relax

This class combines postures from yoga with effective stretching exercises from dance and martial arts. The class serves as an ideal balance to high-energy workouts and helps you become more flexible and identify and dissolve blockages in the body.

About me

I'm Laura, 36, originally from Germany and I work as a dancer/dance teacher and marketing consultant on the Canary Islands. I love everything that has to do with communication and movement - with LJAY Dance I want to pass on this enthusiasm. It is important to me to think outside the box and connect things: In addition to my certified training as a fitness trainer for TAE BO®/Toso X® Instructor and hip-hop dance instructor, I have professional speaker and moderation training and vocal training. I regularly travel to intensive workshops around the world, for example to Munich, London, Prais or Cape Town, to further my education.
